As Project Manager you will be part of a team composed of multiple other Project Managers and Experts. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and validation of construction & technical projects following all GSK Engineering guidelines/practices, requirements & procedures.

Covered scope is Belgium Quality Control and Research & Development laboratories and infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• You plan and manage the project delivery process, typically from Scheme to Handover & Close-out to ensure outcome meets all the defined project objectives for cost, schedule, quality (fit for purpose) & safety and delivers the business benefits.
• This process relates to design, procurement, construction, validation, hand-over and close- out of new vaccine development, labs facilities and utilities.
• You drive one or several & major projects in R&D and/or QC simultaneously with the support of project engineers or contingents & Engineering Offices (Global Engineering, Belgium Engineering and Maintenance, third parties)
• For each project:

• You design the required organization (management, controls, technologies) and leads the related team
• You use proven selection processes to develop the appropriate contract strategy for the project, selects and manages contractors and settles any claims in accordance with company policy.
• You control the project : prepare and update the Project Execution Plan, establish a quality plan, prepare monthly progress report and communicate the critical items to the Steering and Sponsor teams, follow the planning and controls the budget.
• You develop a risk management strategy for the project
• You define the overall commissioning, validation & handover organization and implements to ensure a timely and complete handover to the Customer.

• You train/coach Asset Management Technicians working as discipline engineers to secure the technical and EHS aspects of their works and Project managers and junior project managers
• You are an engineering reference in the Infrastructure and Equipment Delivery department, make final decisions on technical issues, in close cooperation with the technical engineers and maintenance partners.
  
  

Why you?

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Construction, Electro-mechanics, Chemistry)
• Fluent in French and English, spoken and written
• Exceptional expertise in engineering project management (5-10 years’ experience)
• Must be able to organize autonomously the project based on expected quality, time and cost outcomes (planning, resources, budget)
• Must be able to lead multiple projects in parallel and therefore needs an excellent organization while being able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Act as a recognized engineer combining multiple technical knowledge, technically savvy, very good understanding of the building and lab/process infrastructure
• Strong analytical skills, superior interpersonal skills with a demonstrated customer orientation, able to partner, to lead with influence in a matrix configuration and manage to multiple suppliers
• Advanced MS Office skills, MS Project (or similar tool) and knowledge of design and visualization softwares (AutoCAD, vault,…) are an absolute must
