Omniform is part of the Impactgroup, an international family owned group active in packaging. It is active in reusable and single-use packaging with customers across Europe. Having over 50 years of experience and a wide range of state-of-the-art production equipment for thermoforming and injection moulding they also produce a wide range of standard containers. With their highly skilled team of 50+ employees in Olen and Waver they can offer you the optimal solution for small, medium and large series. To support their further growth and professionalization of the sites in Olen and Waver, we are looking for a highly dedicated Quality Assurance Manager.

Function

As QA Manager you’re operationally responsible for the quality assurance system at 2 production sites, this in terms of day-to-day quality management as well as in terms of developing and implementing the strategy and improvement initiatives. Your main responsibilities are to:

• Support and advise the management, and the production team in all hygiene and quality aspects
• Coach and manage a quality assistant
• Perform and manage internal as well as external audits
• Take on responsibility for all quality and system audits: BRC, customer audits, ISO, authority audits, etc.
• Monitor the quality control from incoming to outgoing goods as well as the hygiene of machines and factory
• Handle supplier and customer complaints, and manage preventive and corrective actions
• Initiate and manage quality improvement projects
• Keep the quality manual, procedures and work instructions up-to-date in line with customer demands, legal demands, and demands from the BRC-packaging standard
• Assure the implementation of the quality processes on the sites according to legal, BRC packaging, GMP and HACCP standards
• Ensure validation and timely review of the HACCP-plan, and assist the departments with implementation of HACCP
• Implement the Continuous Improvement Program
• Collaborate with other departments (Production, Engineering, Planning/Supply Chain, Maintenance, Safety, HR, R&D, …)

Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in chemical or Bio-engineering or equal by experience
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience related to quality assurance in the food or packaging industry
• Experience with quality systems like HACCP and BRC is required
• Flexible (people) manager with a clear vision on quality processes
• Hands-on mentality, autonomous, and accurate
• Able to communicate verbally and written in English, Dutch and French
