The purpose of the role

Griffith Foods is looking for a Quality Manager(m/f/x) to lead quality operations on site. You will drive our long-range plan making Griffith Foods the industry leader for the chosen categories, by the promotion of a Food Safety culture through an operational excellence mindset in the Quality department.

You Will Be Responsible For

Responsibilities

• You will lead Quality and Food Safety culture (4 Direct reports)
• Responsible for the implementation and continual development of a robust company Quality System (ISO 9001)
• Development, implementation and control of GMP, HACCP, Allergen and ISO Systems to ensure compliance and to enable Quality to remain at its highest level.
• Implementation and continual development of the HACCP plan.
• You propagate our quality mindset in the workplace, through the development and delivery of training programmes in Food Safety, Quality Systems, Total Quality Management and HACCP to all levels of the organization. Collaboration and communication are therefore crucial in this position.
• You keep your knowledge up-to-date through your strong external focus.
• You work closely together with other departments including supply chain, sales, R&D, Production and Warehousing to drive Quality and Food Safety culture forwards.
• You coach your team towards operational excellence through best practices and standards and develop the team on both functional competencies & attitudes to create a high performing team.
• You organize and take the lead in daily follow up of Quality KPI’s inline with both site, European and Global Quality and Food Safety Culture KPI’s.
• Knowledge of customer and 3rd party audits including interpretation and implementation of the required standard including GFSI, Yum and SQMS.
• You initiate and drive Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement methodology and take the lead in Focused Improvement initiatives with a Quality and Food Safety bias, whilst overlooking from receipt to completion or Customer complaints and Internal rejects.
• Together with the Quality control team you ensure service levels are met.
• Manage the company interface with Government and Enforcement Agencies.
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor or master’s degree in a food-oriented field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Management, with a proven track record as Quality Responsible
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English
• Strong communication, leading and coaching skills
• Experience with TPM, Lean, Continuous Improvement is a plus
• Computer skills: ERP, MS Office
• Team player, constructive and positive approach, well organized with a proactive “can do” mentality
• Process-oriented: translate calamities in improvement opportunities
• Customer focus and commercial awareness
• Passion for success with strong focus on getting results
• Accomplished lead auditor
• Detailed knowledge of food standards including GFSI.
