Functieomschrijving:
ReGenesys is looking for a Research Associate who will be closely involved in the development of our first in class cell therapy platform for treating companion animals. More specifically, you will isolate and culture animal stem cells, perform assays to investigate mode of action and help with quality control of the produced cell batches.
ReGenesys
is a subsidiary of Athersys, Inc., a biotechnology company in Cleveland, USA. The company is developing MultiStem® cell therapy, a patented, adult-derived, “off-the-shelf” stem cell product. ReGenesys is focused on the R&D that supports the MultiStem® clinical programs and is developing potential new regenerative medicine opportunities, such as animal health care.

Profiel:
We are looking for a Research Associate with a strong interest and experience in cell biology and immunology. Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry is considered a plus.
Our ideal candidate,

  • Has a relevant degree in bio-sciences (MSc or BSc) and a couple of years of lab experience.
  • Is fluent in Dutch and English
  • Is a team-player who’s also capable of working independently.
  • Has problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Is flexible within a dynamic environment and able to multi-task.
  • Has well established organizational skills. This is reflected in your interpretation and documentation of data, report writing and experiment planning.
  • Is a good communicator, both written and spoken (presentations)
  • Last but not least, has a heart for animals as they will be working in a team that’s developing a cell therapy to treat companion animals.
Aanbod:
We offer a full-time permanent contract (flexible 38h/week), competitive salary package and benefits (meal vouchers, insurance and travel allowance). You will work in a modern lab and can work from home at least one day per week. As a small company (13 people) we value teamwork. That’s why we organize several team activities throughout the year. And if you’re up for it, you’re also welcome to join our lunchtime running team.
