Job Description

Innovation Sprint is looking for a talented Researcher in the area of Machine Learning to join our Engineering team and work on our backend services. The successful candidate will be part of our team working on European R&D projects.

Innovation Sprint is a technology start-up in the Clinical and Healthcare industry that offers state of the art solutions and services. Our team combines ICT, medical and data analytics expertise to improve health and pharmaceutical products and services, and to develop personalised healthcare solutions. The company has headquarters in Brussels (BE) and R&D offices in Athens (GR) and Enschede (NL). We are currently recruiting for any of our sites (Athens, Enschede, or Brussels).

What you’ll do

  • Contribute to the successful execution of research projects
    • Interact with international consortia
    • Study and contribute to the state-of-the-art of Machine Learning and Data Analytics technologies
    • Provide technical documentation (deliverable documents & presentations)
    • Deliver prototype systems
  • Enrich the company’s project portfolio
    • Identify opportunities in upcoming calls
    • Participate in project preparation consortia
  • Personal development
    • Stay up-to-date with advances in the technical area of expertise
    • Enforce standards and best practices

Qualifications & Skills

  • MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Maths
  • Documentation
    • Excellent use of English (written and spoken)
    • Technical presentation and documentation skills
  • Machine Learning
    • Theoretical knowledge of ML
    • Practical experience in building ML systems
  • Software engineering skills
    • Object-oriented Python
    • Git
  • Soft skills
    • Problem-solving and innovative thinking
    • Teamwork & Collaboration
    • Project management skills to track project work and manage/review work of team
    • Achievement & results orientation

Desired Qualifications

  • Participation in research projects (national or international)
  • SW engineering skills
    • Back-end development (any language/framework, but in particular C#/.NET core)
    • Front-end development (any JS variant, but in particular React Native)
    • RESTful APIs
    • Databases (SQL / noSQL) and ORM (Entity Framework, Hibernate, etc.)
