Job Description: Researcher

Responsibilities

Executional Excellence: Deliver high-quality execution in procedural work and experimentation, providing foundational understanding and capability for the team.

Technical Testing: Contribute to the planning and execution of a broad range of technical tests. Summarize these tests independently and correlate them with in-depth observations.

Hands-On Experimentation: Spend the majority of time conducting hands-on experiments in the lab.

Lab Methods and Simulations: Perform a variety of lab methods, hands-on experiments, and established simulation methods with increasing complexity.

Experiment Selection: Conduct experiments, selecting appropriate methods, equipment, and materials.

Unexpected Results: Capture and communicate unexpected results or observations. Recommend next steps and follow up with technologists and managers to understand these outcomes.

Results Communication: Communicate results orally and in writing to the manager/technical coach and project team.Team Development: Teach less-experienced team members to help them develop new lab skills.

Lab Management: Coordinate and manage lab supplies, maintenance, QA, and safety compliance.

Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to current work processes and methods.

Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills for reporting results and observations.

Problem-Solving: Ability to recommend next steps and follow up on unexpected results.

Team Collaboration: Capable of teaching and mentoring less-experienced team members.

Lab Management: Effective in coordinating lab supplies, maintenance, and compliance.

Requirements:Experience:

Previous experience in a lab environment with hands-on experimentation and technical testing.

Education: Relevant educational background in scientific research or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in lab methods, equipment handling, and safety compliance.

Project of +/- 4 months (starting 1/1/2024)- 39 hrs a Week -
