Sales Account Manager - Vision Care

To maintain this growth we want to expand our Benelux-team for an analytical and data driven Sales Account Manager to cover the West of Belgium.

Responsibilities/Job description:
As a Business Development Manager within Alcon, you play a crucial role in building our brand recognition, trust and ultimately commercial growth.

You are the first contact for our customers and be responsible for building long term relationships across our consumer orientated product portfolio.
You keep your customers enthusiastic and up to date about new products, product development and innovation without effort.

With a natural enthusiasm you know how to convince (potential) customers like opticians about the high quality and added value of Alcon’s contact lenses, lens solution and eye drops.
As a successful Business Development Manager you will be able to:
  • Sensing and meeting customer needs by offering the right Alcon products and services
  • Supporting customers and encourage active collaboration to build a high quality relationship.
  • Guiding customers to reach consumers by helping them with finding the best channels, advising them on how to communicate at what frequency.
  • Cooperate with the professional affaires team to provide the consumer with the correct information about products and services
  • Execute business plans and be motivated to achieve the sales objectives for your assigned area as well as the national objective in collaboration with the other department (Sales and Marketing).
  • Create a network of (potential) client organizations and investigating factors that can influence decisions made by the customers.
  • Improve overall customer satisfaction and experience trough research.
The ideal candidate will:
  • Have significant experience as an account manager, sales representative or similar and able to collaborate with customers to help offer real solutions to their patients (experience in optics market/retail is an advantage).
  • Is an ambitious, result oriented, enterprising and energetic person who can work independently but is also a great team player.
  • Has excellent communication skills, both technical and interpersonal, and masters strong business and sales strategies.
  • Has field service experience and has influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills. You are able to build and maintain long term relationships.
  • High level of learning agility as we plan to launch a number of new products over the next few quarters
