Linked to our growing activity, we need to reinforce the financial team, we are looking for an accountant to join our Belgian team.

Role

  • Provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.
  • Contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition

Responsibilities

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Post invoices
  • Post bank statements
  • Prepare vendor payments
  • Encoding VAT declaration
  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Assist the CFO in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

Profile

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Junior Accountant
  • A degree in accounting
  • Languages : Dutch is essential, English is important
  • ERP experience : SAP
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Analytical ability
  • Organisation skills
  • Accounting software’s experience
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
