Overview:

Founded in 2002, Bricsys is a founding member of the Open Design Alliance. Since 2018, Bricsys is part of Hexagon AB. Bricsys is currently looking for our first Data & BI Engineer to build out our Data Team from scratch
Responsibilities:

As a Data & BI Engineerat Bricsys, you will be responsible for creating the proper data modeling and infrastructure necessary to facilitate reporting and analytics for key stakeholders. You will be the key link between the business and the IT department because of your extensive knowledge of business processes on the one hand, and your experience with data warehouses, datamarts and PowerBI on the other hand. Your key responsibilities:

  • Understand data needs by interfacing with business partners
  • Architect, build, and launch efficient & reliable new data models and pipelines
  • Identify, track and resolve data issues, working in partnership with other business partners to ensure data is accurate, complete and delivered on-time
  • Set up of a new data warehouse in Microsoft Azure
  • Design and develop dashboards to enable self-serve data consumption
  • Become a data expert, develop deep understanding of how your data interacts with the rest of the business, and own data quality
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or related area, or equivalent experience
  • You have experience with complicated and sometimes messy data sources and have successfully untangled them into crisp, beautiful data models
  • You have experience with BI tools. Experience with Microsoft Azure and PowerBI is a plus
  • You have basic statistical knowledge
  • You are hands-on and results-oriented
  • You are able to deal with ambiguity, complexity, and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
