Our team engineering develops new semiconductor equipment for processes and applications in a vertical batch reactor for state-of-art integrated device flows.

Responsibilities

  • Designs semiconductor processing equipment based upon research, develop and optimize designs focused on oxidation, annealing, curing, and deposition (CVD, ALD) of thin films
  • Develops designs for new applications of thin films and processes in the areas of logic, memory, analog, power and MEMS
  • Designs and conducts experiments, measurements and performs the interpretation of complex experimental output
  • Works with process team to serve customers and product marketing to understand and define requirements in order to successfully execute projects and demonstrations
  • Ensures successful product transfer to customer base by performing demonstrations, knowledge transfer, and traveling to support remote sites (up to 25% travel required)
  • Delivers creative solutions, creates inventions and develops intellectual property

Education

  • Master degree in (mechanical) engineering, physics chemistry, chemical engineering or materials science, preferably with a thesis related to the semiconductor or adjacent industries

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with high temperature designs for processes like cure, oxidation, ALD, CVD and/or other thin film deposition techniques
  • Experience with design equipment for processing, developing and characterizing thin films
  • Understanding of physics of semiconductor devices
  • Experience with materials characterization techniques such as XPS, SIMS, RBS, AFM, XRR, XRD, TEM, SEM, and ellipsometry
  • Knowledge of electrical characterization techniques for CMOS devices

Skills

  • Being able to understand semiconductor wafer processing equipment technology, advanced chemistries and the physics of semiconductor devices and materials
  • Ability to independently manage process development projects
  • Understanding of the interplay between hardware design and process outputs
  • Having a hands-on approach and flexible attitude
  • Enjoying solving problems and driving results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly communicate advanced technical constructs in a direct and concise manner
