The role of Senior Finance Administrator will and be part of the General Ledger, Assets and Inventory Accounting team based in Brussels, Belgium.

The role:

As par to the General Ledger (GL), Assets and Inventory Accounting team this role will assist in the development of, and implementing policies and procedures (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures) which relate to the asset and inventory accounting matters within the Agency. This role will monitor and oversees the GL transactions and processes and reports.

About you:

Able to decide and take action you are comfortable establishing great relationships with customers and peers and able to plan and organise exceptionally well. You deliver results and exceed customer expectations for quality and quantity whilst working in a systematic, methodical and orderly way, consistently achieving project goals. Further to this, you have:

  • A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
  • Current finance/accounting staff management experience of 2 years;
  • The ability to develop and maintain financial data and contribute to financial statement preparation;
  • Practical experience of managing inventory and asset accounting transactions within an ERP tool;
  • Specific practical experience of 2 years in preparing financial statement tables/notes, monitoring and approving accounting transactions related to Property Plant and Equipment/fixed assets, intangibles assets and assets under construction of an international corporation or international public sector organisation;
  • Knowledge of IPSAS, IFRS or IAS
