With our corporate strategy "Profitable Growth for Vestas" we have communicated specific, expanding growth targets for service in coming three years. To achieve such targets while keeping our cost base steady requires a fundamental shift in how we operate - commercially as well as operationally.The Global Service LEAN team is responsible for coordinating further our Service Business’ continuous improvement and growth culture. We coordinate the process for Strategy Deployment, work on establishing global concepts, and implement breakthrough improvements based on world class methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.ResponsibilitiesYou will be part of a team of Lean Professionals and Specialists in different geographical regions who constantly will work on increasing the Operational Quality maturity of the Service business. While ensuring high Safety and Quality standards, you will engage with our Service team across North & Central Europe in order to implement our Lean roadmap.
  • Analyze performance data and root causes to explain the financial impact
  • Coordinate small to medium improvement projects on work methods & processes in turbines, offices, and warehouses
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and follow-up sessions to define and sustain improvements
  • Enable the implementation of predictive maintenance solutions
  • Secure Lean tools deployment and assess training needs
  • Reduce operational costs
  • Facilitate sharing of Lean best practices globally
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of Lean/ Six Sigma/ Continuous Improvement experience and with a proven history of achievements
  • Experience in supervising small to medium projects within an international cross-functional environment, for example within the offshore industry
  • Solid pragmatical skills & IT tools expertise allowing you to explain performance data and the financial impact
  • Interest in working hands-on with technicians to identify improvement potentials in all types of turbines’ components
  • Solid communication & influencing skills to approach a variety of stakeholders, from technicians to senior directors
  • Experience with Lean in different environments (i.e. manufacturing and transactional)
CompetenciesMoreover, We Expect Following CompetenciesOn the personal level it is very important that you possess influence and persuasiveness and have strong interpersonal skills. You got experience as a manager and with change management/implementation. You should also have experience defining improvements based on Value Stream and Communicating the next steps towards future state in a way that our technicians understand.
  • Either certification, certified experience, or education in continuous improvement disciplines
  • Ability to create impact & connect with our workforce
  • Able to travel mostly across the North Sea (Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, UK) and keep constant contact with colleagues in different countries & time zones
  • Able to follow up in different countries (or areas within a country)
  • Suitable written/verbal presentation and communication skills
