Ideal Standard is a leading manufacturer of bathroom products in Europe and MENA, providing a broad range of branded products for residential and non-residential end-markets in more than 20 countries. We manufacture products for all of the major product categories in the bathroom products market with an annual turnover of around 725 Mio and we believe our comprehensive offering differentiates us from our competitors. We enjoy leading market positions in many of the largest bathroom products markets in Europe and MENA. We sell our products under a series of well-known international and national brands including Ideal Standard, JADO, Porcher, Armitage Shanks, Ceramica Dolomite and Vidima. As of 31 December 2019, we operated 14 manufacturing plants across Europe and in Egypt, and we employ almost 8,700 people across our business.

We are currently recruiting a Trade Marketing Specialist!

As part of our Group Marketing Team, the Trade Marketing Specialist contributes to the overall strategy and success of the business through a large scope of marketing activities.

The role covers planning, development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies across the business as well as being a matter expert responsible for providing guidance and solutions to a diverse range of marketing issues for the local entities.

The role will be based in Ideal Standard International’s HQ in Zaventem.

Responsibilities & Accountability

1. Brand deployment

  • Support local entities in the roll-out of the new brand across channels and touchpoints
  • Act as the brand referent and guardian

2. Communication - NPI activities

  • Work out communication strategies and develop tools for new product introductions across Europe
  • Obtain buy-in and consensus from management and local entities on the objectives and tools
  • Brief and manage agencies to develop the relevant efficient tools
  • Support local entities to ensure a successful adaptation and execution of plans and tools

3. Event management

  • Support the organization of European tradeshows/events (ISH, Milan Design Week…) by developing all communication assets from print to digital (product communication, brand communication, …)
  • Manage the various actors’ participation (internal central & local stake stakeholders, agencies)

4. Project Management

  • Manage projects from start to finish, involving several department (brand, products, channels specialist, local marketing teams…)
  • Define key objectives and related KPI to track performances and implement corrective actions to ensure alignment with business targets

5. Budget management

  • Contribute to the planning and definition of the annual operating plan (AOP¨) based on the business needs
  • Analyse the monthly and YtD results vs. plan
  • Monitor any misalignments vs plan to implement corrective actions

Your profile

  • Degree in Marketing studies or relevant
  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in Trade Marketing, acquired ideally in a group-level/central role in a multi-country industrial business
  • Confident and independent
  • Able to influence and work across countries, with different cultures and teams
  • Creative flair
  • Curious and at ease with digital and new technologies
  • Detail oriented and rigorous
  • Flexible and adaptable individual able to think laterally, coach and facilitate at all levels in multi-cultural environments
  • Results driven professional with a positive attitude towards learning
  • Excellent level of English; knowledge of additional European languages is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
