Our site (Valeo Visibility Systems - Specialty Products) located in Meslin L’Evêque, Belgium (halfway between Lille and Brussels) designs and produces daytime running lights, fog lamps, elliptical modules and other innovative products in the field of lighting for the automotive industry.

The aim of the "lighting systems" product family is to improve the driver’s night-time visibility and to indicate the vehicle’s position in all situations. Our customers are located all over the world (Europe, Asia, America). There are about 900 employees at the site.

Our Logistics Department is looking for a VIE Supply Chain Engineer to be part of the international team for 12 months (renewable for 12 additional months).

Your challenges?
  • You carry out the daily monitoring of stocks: daily inventory count of critical items, occasional inventory count of other items
  • You handle supplier delays: reminders, solutions to be provided according to production requests and escalations if necessary to the Procurement and Sales Administration Manager
  • You handle Visual Re-Order anomalies (order on physical stock, insufficient promise, anomaly reception, anomaly 0 stock - 0 transit): call the supplier to find a solution
  • You adapt to customer variations: participate in negotiations with the supplier
  • You detect and report stock discrepancies to the inventory managers
  • You write instructions for the needs of your department or Logistics
  • You participate in Logistics QRQC
  • You verify Production consumption, stocks, receipts in SAP
  • You place orders or insert forecasts in SAP
  • You participate in the PDP and commit to the volumes to be produced by guaranteeing that there are all the necessary components to ensure the planned production
Let’s Talk About You…
  • You have a Master degree in Engineering with a specialization in Supply Chain
  • You have a first experience (internship, work-study) in logistics in the industry
  • Your English and French are fluent – these are the working languages
  • You have good communication and analytical thinking skills
  • You are on ease with SAP, Microsoft Office and Google tools
  • You are agile, autonomous, reactive and rigorous
