My client is looking for a freelance IT Infrastructure & System Expert for a 6 month contract with a possibility of extension.

Objectives

Join and lead a team responsible for the design and implementation of various infrastructure and network tasks.
Migration and upgrade of Windows Servers, Cisco Network in preperation for an SAP Project.
Design and implement resolutions of issues raised from the Manager.
Responsible for maintaining the local and Europe-wide IT infrastructure services and components.
Proactively seeking solutions to existing and anticipated challenges.
Working on virtualisation with VMware.

Required

Strong Windows operational systems experience (required)
10+ years experience with virtualisation (VMware), Cisco Network, and Microsoft systems. (required)
Good English & Dutch (required)
Professional Bachelors in IT (required)
Active Directory, System Management, and Security experience (preferred)
Thorough and well organised
Strong communication and team work
Strong Independence and a hands-on individual
The ability to plan and then implement

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months +

Potential for doing up to one week a month in Germany (travel and hotel will be provided)
