We’re looking for someone just like you in Lummen, Belgium, to take on the exciting role of a Junior Business Controller. This isn’t just about managing finances; it’s about helping our service organization towards profitability and sustainable growth.

Imagine being at the forefront of financial decision-making, where your analytical skills and business acumen come together to make a real impact. As our Junior Business Controller, you’ll be more than a number cruncher; you’ll be a key player in shaping our financial strategy for the future.

Your role involves working closely with our Business Controller Benelux, providing top-notch financial analysis and working closely with business leaders to guide them through economic challenges and opportunities. You won’t be limited to local operations; your influence will extend over regional and corporate levels, requiring strong communication skills and a comprehensive approach to both finance and non-finance aspects.

Daily activities:
  • Month End Journal preparation and posting.
  • Running and preparing of month end Reports.
  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts Packs.
  • Production of Regular KPI reports for District Managers across UK, Ireland, and Benelux.
  • Reporting Support for Quarterly District Reviews.
  • Productivity Analysis of the front-line operatives.
  • Hyperion Reporting of Month End and Quarterly Figures.
  • Assisting with Annual Budgeting Process.
  • Support with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Benelux - Supporting Procurement Tenders.
  • BE - Chasing Overdue AR and Liaising with Credit Authorities.
  • BE – Liaising with Fleet Provider regarding Fleet Management

Requirements:
  • Graduate in Finance Related Course or at least 2 years’ experience in a finance role.
  • CIMA Student or desire to further finance Education.
  • A team player with good communication skills both English and Dutch.
  • Inquisitive nature and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Accurate and pays attention to detail.
  • An organised, proactive, and motivated person.
  • Excellent IT Skills, proficient especially in excel.
  • VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Tables are often used.
  • SAP experience would be a benefit but not essential.
  • Occasional travel to Netherlands and UK.
