De functie

For a fast growing company, active in the energy market, we are looking for a Portfolio Optimizer. You will be part of a young and dynamic team that has a crucial role in the strategic decisions and vision of the company.

Your role will involve the following tasks:

  • Supporting the portfolio of the supply and storage contracts for the Northern Europe region to allow the traders to maximize asset values in the energy market.
  • You monitor market risk exposure derived from the different commodity indexations and foreign exchange positions.
  • Understanding all contractual specifications of assets and their commercial value and risk.
  • You set up and maintain the portfolio position by using the different systems.
  • You investigate the tools and procedures and do suggestions for improvements.
  • Working together with other departments like logistics and operations to ensure a smooth delivery of assets.

Het profiel

  • Master’s degree in economical or financial sciences and at least 2 years of experience in financial or energy markets.
  • You are fluently in English, any other language is a plus.
  • You are able to handle a large amount of data by quantitative analysis.
  • In debt knowledge of excel, other programs like VBA is a plus.
  • You have very good communication skills.
  • You work very accurate and have a critical mindset.
