As a legal advisor in the Proprietary Corporate Affairs team, you will be part of a dynamic team and provide advice on a wide range of legal matters related to the overall operation of our client.

Your duties will also include identifying and monitoring the legal risks and potential liabilities associated with our client.

A pragmatic attitude and a correct, unambiguous and effective communication style towards line management, colleagues and internal departments is essential.

In consultation and partnership with legal staff, you will contribute to or be willing to further the following:
  • Drafting and negotiating different types of agreements with various parties and partners. These agreements vary in subject matter and complexity (IT contracts, service agreements, sponsorship agreements, outsourcing agreements, shareholder agreements, insurance agreements,...) ;
  • Formulate opinions;
  • Participating in projects within our client or with external parties for which legal input is required;
  • Optimization and updating of documentation templates;
  • Follow up on litigation and guide the work of external advisors;
  • Represent the bank in relevant internal or external working groups;
  • Provide assistance in preparing contacts with the various supervisory authorities (ECB, NBB and FSMA);
  • Monitoring and anticipating legislation, case law, doctrine, guidelines and recommendations within the relevant legal areas;
  • Transferring knowledge and providing training to internal staff.

Your profile

  • Master’s/Law degree with several years of relevant experience ;
  • Willingness to be active in a wide variety of fields;
  • Excellent command of Dutch, French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Pragmatic with a flexible attitude;
  • Curious with analytical skills;
  • Customer oriented, with a willingness to build relationships;
  • Team player, able to collaborate effectively with other colleagues and stakeholders.
