Job description

As Key Account Manager EMEA you manage existing customers and develop business with new customers in order to achieve the planned growth.

  • You implement the regional commercial strategy to ensure a consistent market approach. You identify specific actions and initiatives that will support incremental growth in your region.
  • You manage existing key accounts in order to achieve sales targets and growth opportunities. You follow up on orders to ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
  • Next to existing clients, you also develop and manage relationships with prospective accounts and generate new sales. You remain up to date on industry activity and trends, and you work with Market Intelligence to identify opportunities.
  • You follow up with after-sales activities, you monitor credit and customer receivables, and provide correct reports on sales, forecasting and customers.
  • The area covered in this position will focus on France, Italy, Spain, Croatia and North Africa (focus on French-speaking area) as well as on a small number of customers in Madagascar, Nigeria and Mozambique. The area covered may change in the future according to business needs.
  • You report to the Regional Sales Director Europe and you are preferably located in one of the above mentioned countries and travel regularly across the region.

Profile

  • You have at least 5-10 years of experience in the international aquaculture industry, nutrition or an adjacent sector, preferably in a commercial role.
  • You talk with customers (from operations to C-level) on a technical level but you are also commercially skilled: you identify and secure opportunities and you build long-lasting relationships.
  • You connect and communicate easily with customers and colleagues, leading virtual teams to work with customers (technical, product, finance…).
  • You take initiatives and have a dynamic and result driven “Can do, will do” personality.
  • You have strong time management skills and the ability to work both independently and as team player. You manage multiple initiatives and relationships in parallel.
  • You are fluent in verbal and written English communication. Knowledge of French, Italian, and/or Spanish is an advantage.
  • You are willing to travel extensively within (a part of) the EMEA region.
