We are looking for an experienced payroll accountant to join the team within our pharma customer.

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Perfect understanding and practice of payroll processing procedures
  • Experience in preparing payroll and tax reports, as well as answering payroll inquiries
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation
  • Critical mindset: ability to challenge, improve and optimize current processes and assumptions
  • High energy, open and flexible, results-oriented and capable of working independently
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Good knowledge of BE GAAP, US GAAP and SoX requirements
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of SAP

As a payroll accountant, you will manage and oversee the payroll processes with the third-party payroll

provider. You will be responsible for a smooth processing of all administrative activities in connection

with payroll accounting.


Your tasks:

  • Coordination and oversight of payroll information with our third-party payroll provider for employees based in Belgium
  • Responsible for the preparation and process of the monthly payroll and salary accounting
  • Responsible for the pensions and benefits administration
  • Calculation payroll accruals
  • Master and process the salary payments
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing tasks (e.g: balance sheet reconciliations, reconciliation 325.10,..)
  • Assure statutory compliance of remuneration, social security and pensions P&L and BS
  • Act as primarycontact person for payroll related topics and inquiries
  • Keep all work instructions, SOP’s and other documentation for audit controls (CIA, PWC)
  • compliant and ensure all processes are aligned in a changing environment
