Accounting Assistant

Brussels, Brussels-Capital Region

Playing a crucial role in the smooth running of our business, you’ll support e-commerce and our Hygiene and Home business units. You’ll:
  • Tell the story behind the data, providing the financial intelligence we depend on to make critical choices
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of reporting
  • Support our planning cycle, collaborate with other finance teams and manage compliance and controls projects
  • Ultimately, your analysis will provide the insights that allows us to grow our business and manage our costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
  • Perform accounting analysis and General Ledger reconciliations
  • Payroll Accounting
  • Collaborate with the Shared Service Center GFS for RTR activities
  • Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries.
  • Declarations to the BNL government (VAT) and other statistics (CBS/NBB)
  • Monitor Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Assist on year-end audits
  • Fixed Assets

You’ll succeed because…

…you’ve a foundation in accounting or financial analysis. You:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5 year working in Accounting with relevant experience in GL
  • ERP experience required (SAP preferred).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate working-method as well as the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
  • Strong Excel and database skills preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
