Analytics Technology Lead

Make your mark for patients

We are looking for an Analytics Technology Lead who is a naturally strong communicator with an analytical and problem-solving mindset to join our Analytics team, based in our Braine L’Alleud office in Belgium. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that operates between our headquarters located in Anderlecht, Brussels, and our Braine L’Alleud sites. This role involves a weekly rotation, spending one day per week at each of these sites.

About the role

The Analytics Technology Lead is responsible for managing the lifecycle of globally used analytics platforms. This includes leading platform implementations/projects, managing the stakeholders and vendors involved and collaborating with various stakeholders like security, technology strategy and infrastructure.

Another part of the main responsibilities is defining the advanced analytics technology platform roadmap, feeding the overall Analytics CoE roadmap, and in charge of the maintainability and the scalability of the proposed solutions.

Who you’ll work with

You will collaborate with a diverse spectrum of professionals, including those within the IT domains, business stakeholders, as well as external consultants and service providers.

What you’ll do

• 
  Have ownership of SAP BW.
• Have ownership of the Planning & Consolidation technologies (IBM Cognos Controller, Planning Analytics – TM1).
• Ad-Hoc support in other technology platforms (Snowflake, SAS DI, Azure Data Factory, Denodo).
• Manage the lifecycle of owned platforms and their integration with other platforms.
• Be responsible for defining the owned technology platform roadmap and in charge of the maintainability and the scalability of the proposed solutions.
• Defines and ensures applicability of governance, technical standards and best practices for development teams on owned platforms.
• Lead the platform implementations/projects and manage the stakeholders and vendors involved, by showing advanced project management skills and ability to deliver technology projects in a matrix organization collaborating with the various departments involved like security, technology strategy and infrastructure.
• Able to execute proofs of concepts and hand-on developments.
• Managing interests and expectations of various business and IT stakeholders.
• Able to shape and defend business cases for the initiatives he/she will drive or support with solutions and estimates.
• Explores how new/emerging technology may support the UCB analytics roadmap.

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

• 
  Fluent written and spoken English
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Excellent Data Provisioning skills (ETL, ELT) and Logical Data Modelling experience
• Strong experience with SAP BW 7.5 On HANA, Azure fundamentals, TM1, Cognos Controller
• Experience with Snowflake, ADF, SAS DI, Azure expertise, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Denodo is a plus
• Strong knowledge of relational database structures, theories, principles and practices.
• Experience with Big Data and cloud technologies
• Strong Knowledge of analytics governance concepts
• Analytics Dashboard design, development and report development experience with multiple tools and data sources
• Business and technical competency in analytics solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, with strong ability to quickly learn and comprehend business processes and problems in order to effectively shape technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills and effective working relationships
• Motivated, reliable and with a positive attitude
• Proactivity to recognize potential issues and resolve them before they transform into problems
• Fully motivated to be a part of a team and contribute towards it
