Accountants - Assistant Accountant

Roles & Responsibilities

Within the Financial Resource Management department you will provide temporary accounting support to different external clients and most of the time actively working at the clients offices. In this role you will work on the following tasks:

  • Keep track of accounts, cost centers, VAT codes, etc;
  • Prepare and book journal entries, including accruals and recurring entries related to day to-day business activities, partly based on information provided by controllers and/or other financial departments;
  • Perform fixed asset accounting: asset master data, depreciation runs, transfers, reporting, etc..
  • Maintain a Fixed assets register;
  • Monitor accounting system flows: interfaces, workflows, automated processes (e.g. account clearing);
  • Generate, review and validate General ledger reports;
  • Execute period-end accounting activities
  • Keeping track and processing of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Follow-up of expense notes
  • Prepare payment file

Skills & Qualifications

  • You have a background in accounting and between 2 or 3 years experience as accountant;
  • You are organized and know how to put priorities;
  • You are service minded with good communication skills;
  • You can work in a rigorous, autonomic way;
  • You are flexible to work on different loactions (Brussels area)
  • You have knowledge of Excel, and ERP software.
