Responsibilities

Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering/scientific techniques, processes, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Investigates a limited number of variables to achieve clear and specific project results within a narrow focus area. Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, surveys, structures, etc., with relatively few complex features for which there are no precedents. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, technical assistance on complex features, and possible solutions. Work may be reviewed by seasoned professionals for technical quality. May supervise or coordinate the work of drafters, technicians, or aides who assist in specific assignments.

Qualifications

Experienced. Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; performing all duties of assigned role, but still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction. Impact of work is primarily within own division or site.
