Role/Responsibilities

The Legal events database can cover a broad scope of “messages” around registration changes (capital increase, a name change, a director resignation etc.) and juridical notifications (bankruptcy or liquidation notifications, settlement proceedings, reorganization plans and other court judgments) on a company.

Your responsibilities & role


As part of the Legal Events Team, you will analyse new legal data sets in different languages and you will carry out verifications with the aim to give your approval of ingestion. You will be reporting to your supervisor and have contacts with colleagues inside and outside the team.
Your responsibilities will be to
    • Maintain and enrich company’s historical database that are available online to subscribers in a timely and accurate manner by understanding the data given the country’s legislation and standardizing it.
    • Provide top quality documentation, on internal procedures and processes (existing and new ones).
    • Improve existing processes and procedures such as finding a permanent solution to a recurring problem.
    • Supervise the data workflow into the software (understand the search indexes and logic, responsible for bug fixes, provide guidance to QA).
    • Provide guidance to sales and customers (L2 Customer support).

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree with course work related to the legal field preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of structured formats (JSON, XML, etc.)
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.) preferred but not essential
  • Analytical and big picture mentality
  • Fluent in English, any additional languages are an advantage.
  • Good organization skills and task prioritization
  • Independent worker, yet also a team player
