Proclinical are recruiting for an individual to join a pharmaceutical organisation. This role is on a permanent basis. The opening position is for an Associate Scientist.Responsibilities
  • In the role of an associate scientist, you will develop and implement novel technologies for rapid downstream development.
  • As an associate scientist, you will be responsible for partaking in forming the mRNA platform documentation and workflows, and integration within the upstream, analytical and any other transversal teams within the international platform.
  • Be accountable for development of purification procedures for mRNA production and tech transfer.
  • Other duties may be assigned to this role.
Key Skills And Requirements
  • Educated to a degree level with at least 5+ years of work experience or educated to an advanced degree level with at least 2+ years of work experience within a biochemistry, molecular biology, chemical engineering, biochemical engineer or a similar scientific discipline.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in research and development within a biopharmaceutical or government lab environment.
  • Familiarity within chromatography and various purification techniques, for example: tangential flow filtration (TFF) and affiliated instrumentation such as AKTA chromatography systems and Unicorn software.
  • Acquaintance with design of experiments and high-throughout process development such as plates or robocolumns in liquid handling systems.
  • Past involvement and comprehension of nucleic and analytical technologies.
