We are expanding our Biofuels business, transitioning to a global trading organisation. To further capitalise on commercial insights, we are rapidly building our trading, origination & analytical capabilities to capture new assets and enter new market areas in Europe. The current opportunity is for an experienced Biofuels Trading Analyst to join our trading team, as part of the Front office, in Brussels.

What Role Would You Play Within Our Team.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Bio Traders and be a key commercial resource in opportunity identification, capture and risk control.

Based at the ExxonMobil Campus in Brussels, Belgium, this role is responsible for recommending profitable trading opportunities, via arbitrage analysis, biofuels movement tracking, trade flow analysis and blending opportunity identification.

The Key Deliverables Include
  • Providing economic analysis for opportunity evaluation and capture learnings from missed opportunities
  • Supporting derivatives trading and policy with analysis of new and existing usage of derivative instruments
  • Acting as a power-user of strategic tools that support trading activities: data systems, bespoke analytical tools, Reuters Eikon, SAP
  • Contributing to special projects, strategy studies, and new market entries
  • Completing analysis and reporting for trading performance
  • Supporting annual strategy development
  • Liaising with our global trading hubs
Who Are We Looking For.
To be eligible for this role, you must:
  • Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, in a numerical discipline e.g. Engineering, Economics, Finance..
  • Have prior experience in the Biofuels (Fame) and/or Vegetable Oils markets
  • Be able to demonstrate strong numerical, analytical and modelling skills
  • Be able to demonstrate:
    • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
    • The ability to collaborate effectively with internal & external customers
    • A creative approach to problem solving
    • The ability to work with multi-cultural global teams
  • Have the willingness to meet occasional after hours work needs
In addition, proficiency with R, Python or Matlab and European language proficiency would be beneficial.
