The Business Continuity expert helps improving the resilience of the organization by developing plans to protect critical products, services and processes. The primary goal is to help the company to prepare for, respond to and recover from any disruptive event like a natural disaster, a pandemic or any other threat.

Job description

As Business Continuity Expert you work with cross-functional, virtual teams to determine the business and technical needs in terms of business continuity.

You perform Business Impact Analysis and risk assessments to define the impact over time of a disruption and define the business continuity requirements.

A gap analysis between the business requirements and technical feasibility together with the domain experts and/or architects, allows you to document the company risks.

The outcome of the risk analysis and recommended actions are presented for approval to different stakeholders and risks can be escalated to the Risk Management Committee.

To respond to questions from the telecom regulator, IBPT, as a Business Continuity Expert you will, amongst others, participate and contribute to the yearly risk analysis of different threats for critical services.

You will determine adequate incident responses and communication guidelines to improve the existing crisis management, Proximus Emergency Response Team.

Prepare, facilitate, and evaluate business continuity and disaster recovery exercises to ensure preparedness in case of disruptive events is also part of your job.

As Business Continuity Expert you will be part of the Proximus Emergency Response Team.

It is important to share knowledge and stay up to date on the latest trends in business continuity, operational resilience, disaster recovery and crisis management.

Profile

You are customer focused with a good technical knowledge or understanding of the IT and/or telecom network environment and architecture.

You have good project management skills:

• experience with leading virtual teams and reporting to different stakeholders;
• knowledge of financial business cases;
• hands-on experience in the organization of workshops and good action follow-up

In terms of communication, you have fluent language skills in English, French and Dutch, both spoken and written and have good presentation skills.

You have good business and process analysis skills and dare challenging the information you receive.

You like to work in teams, can work autonomously and are solution and result driven.

Technical profile or similar with knowledge of Business Continuity Management standards like ISO 22301 and the BCI Good Practice Guide is a plus.
