The Business Controller will manage and coordinate Belgium and France offices from a financial perspective, by identifying and demonstrating the drivers for value creation to stakeholders, as well as business partnering with them to enhance performance and efficiencies within the offices.

S/he will also be accountable for assuring that financial systems and work processes in place support achieving business goals and are compliant with company standards as well as regulatory requirements.

S/he will analytically support business performance improvement initiatives as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for internal finance of the offices, including accurate, timely and complete accounting records and systems of internal control, management information, budgeting and forecasting and statutory accounts

  • Review accurate and timely local tax matters (VAT, Corporate Tax) as well as regulatory reporting / GAAP

  • Be the liason between Group Finance and local teams for finance related topics

  • Providing the MT members with relevant and timely financial information and analysis

  • Provide updates together with MD during business review meetings

  • Set up KPI management (financial/ non financial) and 3 year financial plan for the offices in scope

  • Execute business performance analysis for specific project requests relating to office performance improvement initiatives

  • Aligning and deploying financial systems and work processes to assure achieving business objectives

  • Ensuring adequate financial reporting and tax accounting for internal and external reporting purposes

  • Optimisation of cash and debtors processes

  • Oversee and approve key CAPEX/ OPEX expenditure in the office
