Within Corporate Research & Development (CRD), the Business IT Project Manager proposes, defines and executes Business IT projects and provides on-demand advice in order to achieve that everyone in CRD uses IT tools in an optimal way. He/she interfaces with IS on R&D specific matters, either in applications, user requests or the escalation of issues this together with the BIT-CRD coordinator.

• Within 1-2 years migrate the entire CRD department knowledge management from livelink to SharePoint. Assure that CRD IT projects are executed within the foreseen scope, time and budget.
• Achieve agreement between all stakeholders within CRD as well as with other CRD BU’s (NBI, IS,…) and external companies or partners when critical choices need to be made.
• Reports progress to the TS/BIT manager and the SMT and execute projects in close cooperation with data science team/ TS team.
• Assist the BIT coordinator with solving technical issues, coordinate, and guarantee a good competence level on CRD specific IT tools (including the ability to support others) of CRD end users, Livelink key users, application owners, lab PC responsible, and IS. This is done by developing appropriate training packages, by organizing and executing training programs and by coaching.
• Identify the requirements and ensure appropriate and coherent solutions to solve operational issues in accordance with the given policy and strategy.
• Have a hands-on project responsibility for IT improvement projects (covering the different phases: reengineering, blueprinting, design, build, test, migration, support).
• Liaise between CRD and IS functions: define requirements, discuss approach, share feedback, share best practices.
• Coordinate together with IS the testing activities to validate all modifications prior to their implementation into the production environment.
• Control the software and hardware cycle, budget and cost; assure the quality of documentation and training materials; propose solutions for reported issues.
