As a Category Manager you are responsible for the purchase of raw materials for the production in our various plants at the lowest possible total cost and in accordance with the guidelines of the organisation:

  • You conduct negotiations with the suppliers and close contracts.
  • You take into account (long) delivery times and the specific unloading requirements of the raw materials. You closely monitor the consumption of raw materials so you can intervene when and where necessary.
  • You keep the Master Data up to date in SAP.
  • You are always looking for ways to cut costs and take an active part in optimisation projects.
  • You report to the Purchase Manager.

PROFILE

  • You hold a master’s degree combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • You have strong communication skills and are fluent in Dutch and English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
  • You are computer literate, experience with SAP is a strong asset.
  • You are proactive and like to take initiative; you have a constructive critical mindset.
  • You adopt a structured and meticulous approach.
  • To ensure a smooth collaboration with our Dutch colleagues you are willing to travel to Oisterwijk 1 day per week.
