The opportunity

In order to support the growth of our ‘CFO Services’ practice we are hiring Consolidation Consultants.

The service offering of our team is structured around four pillars:

• 
  Financial accounting and reporting excellence (Financial accounting excellence, Accounting compliance services (gaap conversion));
• Improve your accounting through IT and process (Consolidation and reporting, Advanced processes and data analytics);
• Meet regulatory, governance and financing related needs (Corporate treasury, Corporate governance and regulation, Transaction accounting);
• Address other audit, attest & accounting impacts (Audit remediation, Data intelligence, Training services for business professionals).

Key responsibilities

Depending on the specific setting and requirements of our clients, our responsibilities mainly consist of the execution of the following scope of procedures:

Technical

• Definition and determination of group accounting policies and consolidation perimeter;
• Monthly preparation of consolidation and reporting of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting;
• Preparation of consolidation of group financial statements (BE GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP,…);
• Preparation of consolidated intercompany reconciliation and elimination journals;
• Perform reconciliations between local GAAP and group accounting policy;
• Determination of (consolidated) financial forecasts and annual budgets.

Advise

• Improving the closing, consolidation, reporting and budgeting process;
• Advising on the use, changes, rules, scenario’s and optimizations regarding the consolidation/reporting software;
• Defining the systems strategy and developing system requirements for the selection of new consolidation and reporting software;
• Preparation of position papers on certain consolidation technic aspects;
• Organize consolidation trainings (internal & external).

To qualify for the role

• 
  You obtained a master degree in economics or engineering or equally by experience;
• You have a basic knowledge about consolidation and reporting;
• You are familiar with consolidation tools such as Cognos, SigmaConso, SAP BPC, Hyperion…

•

• You fluently speak English and French/Dutch;
