CORPORATE DIGITAL CONTROLLER (M/F/D)

Knauf Insulation is seeking for a Corporate Digital Controller (M/F/D)to join its Central Controlling Team located at Knauf Insulation’s headquarters, Visé (Belgium), defining central strategy and supporting Knauf Insulation Regions.

The team is composed of 20 people divided between the FP&A team, the operative controlling team, the balance sheet controlling team, and the central data management team.

The candidate will be able to move between the teams according to project needs and will be a key player in innovating the processes, procedures, tools and working methods of financial planning and analysis by exploring and harnessing the power of advanced analytics - including Machine Learning - and other technologies.

He/she will also act as a business partner for other departments and for the management on major investments such as new greenfield or a new production line.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Reporting to the Head of Group Controlling, you will:

• Participate in various continuous improvement projects aiming at re-designing some of the financial processes in view of standardization, be able to identify root causes problems, develop improvement measures and organize their implementation;
• Act as a change agent and accelerator of innovation by driving and rolling-out the digital finance transformation and leading the change to a modern Planning & Analysis mindset;
• Contribute to the deployment of innovative tools / technologies / methods by providing trainings for Finance community, organizing workshops / learning days, identifying and sharing relevant learning opportunities, etc.
• Participate in the monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting exercises;
• Create monthly internal reports and analysis, develop automatic solutions with Business Intelligence tool and ensure data accuracy between different reporting systems;
• Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance;
• Support the periodic financial closing across more than 35 entities;
• Provide strategic support to management and involvement in building up business cases related to new significant investments of the Group such as new plant construction,… ;
• Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis. Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes;
• Ad hoc help and assistance for all KI financial community;
• And last but not least, bring your good mood to the teams!

YOUR TALENTS

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable;
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in similar role or equivalent by experience;
• You have a good understanding of Finance and Accounting principles, processes & structures and a strong financial statement analysis capability;
• You define yourself as a compelling storyteller, able to balance the information demands of senior executives, stakeholders, and cross functional business leaders. You are able to interact effectively across hierarchies, functions/businesses and cultures;
• Excellent reporting skills needed (handling data bases, building up reports and overviews, analyze results in a meaningful way…). Ability to think strategically, independently structure, analyze, and synthesize findings / dynamic inputs and develop innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial, fast changing environment;
• Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience in databases and SAP FI/CO/PS. Experience in Tableau or any other visual analytics platform is a strong asset;
• Authentic belief in the power of analytics and technological development, a strong will to innovate ways of working combined with the proven execution ability & stamina to effect lasting change. Experience in Digital Finance transformation a strong plus;
• High standards of accuracy and precision;
• Creative, confident, and collaborative nature;
• Good organizational and time management skills needed to respect deadlines;
• Able to operate internationally (around 10% travelling);
• Fluent in English. German and/or French, although not mandatory, a distinct asset.
