EU Regulatory Trainee

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking to recruit an EU qualified Junior Lawyer with EU regulatory and Greek law experience to join our award winning office in Belgium on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse team of specialist and experienced lawyers, which offers exposure to complex and multi-jurisdictional matters.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will offer the whole scope of legal services to our clients with a particular focus on EU regulatory and litigation in the energy, banking and infrastructure sectors
• You will be involved with our EU-Greek Practice and advise our international and Greek clients on EU and Greek law matters
• You will draft legal advice, transactional dpcumentation, pleadings and other contractual documentation for our clients
• You will develop skills as an attorney and a strategic business advisor

ABOUT YOU

We do not set upper or lower limits of PQE for any of our vacancies. We have however given an indicative PQE as an approximate guide for applicants. Candidates who have between 1 and 3 years’ PQE are likely to have the right level of knowledge and have gained the right level of experience needed to be able to undertake this role.

• LL.B. from a reputable Law School in the EU and an LL.M. from a highly reputable University; an LL.B. obtained from a Greek Law School and an LL.M. from a top-tier US or UK University will be considered a plus
• Stellar academic record
• Qualification in the EU; An additional qualification in another jurisdiction (e.g. US or UK) would be considered a plus as well as a qualification in Greece.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience including experience on drafting legal documentation in English; experience working for another reputable national or international law firm will be considered a plus
• Excellent technical legal language skills
• Native Greek speaker with excellent command of English (verbal and written)
• Driven by quality and willing to go the extra mile
• Creative, well-organised, pro-active, flexible and a team player
• Able to prioritise and manage effectively multiple and complex tasks
• Accuracy, confidentiality, commitment, loyalty and punctuality are fundamental concepts for you
• Eager to work in a dynamic but demanding environment
