For a client in Mechelen, I am searching for a freelance System/Network Engineer to work on an exciting mission for the next 12 months. The client has activities in Belgium, France, UK, US, Germany, The Netherlands, Austria, Spain, Italy, Cech Republic and Poland and you will be working in a collaboration managed by the Group ICT Director and small staff at group level.

Responsibilities

  • You offer the necessary support in the daily operational management of the clients’ extensive, international IT infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the development of their hybrid IT infrastructure and use the necessary tools and scripts to automate where possible
  • Monitor the performance of their IT infrastructure as well as the related applications and make improvements where necessary
  • Assist service desk colleagues to solve problems, this on an ITIL based framework

Skills

  • Windows background, 365 (server/desktop)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD
  • Cisco
  • Solid Virtualization experience (VMware, HyperV)
  • Familiarity with any storage techniques (NAS, SAN, Cluster)

Details

LOCATION: Mechelen 2 days on site

LANGUAGES: English (Dutch a bonus)

DURATION: Until E.O.Y. (12 months with likely extension)

START DATE: Flexible
