The Global Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures and Joint Venture (MADJV) HR Leader will be accountable for leading the execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures transitions on behalf of human resources, partnering with essential team members (Business HR and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs)) to ensure deals realize the highest possible value, limit risks and protect company interests, values and culture. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to an experienced regional team (Regional GHRS MADJV Leaders) that partners closely with key stakeholders (Corporate Development and Business Leaders) on a diverse portfolio deals and will be responsible for people related decisions in all phases of the deal lifecycle from due diligence through integration. You will also own a portfolio of deals and continuously improve the domain approach and process by collecting and applying lessons learned.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and develop strategic relationships, influence and mobilize action among business leaders, corporate development and human resource partners related to all people components of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint venture transactions.
- Provide day to day leadership to the MADJV team to ensure deals are prioritized and portfolios balanced across regions.
- Develop and execute on the long range HR MADJV strategic roadmap to meet the company´s inorganic growth goals.
- Design key performance metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of the related MADJV portfolio, using data and insights to identify trends and influence resource allocations while evaluating the achievement of deal outcomes based on the metrics from the valuation model.
- Own the MADJV deals in the portfolio when team capacity is limited, ensuring execution´s requirements are shaped, understood and delivered in alignment with area HR operating model and governance of risk.
- Partner with a diverse group of stakeholders (Total Rewards, Talent, Business HR, Enterprise/Function Business Leaders, Law, etc.) with respect to all domain MADJV activities.
- Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 25% of the time.
- Minimum of five years of experience leading MADJV projects across the globe, with knowledge of due diligence processes and procedures used within the context of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and or joint ventures, including applicable laws and regulations that can affect MADJV deals.
- Master’s degree or other post-secondary degree.
- Experience partnering with senior Business and Functional executives across an organization.
- Confirmed experience hiring, developing and retaining a diverse team.
- Strong organization, project management, risk and problem solving skills, utilizing sound judgement in support of operational and strategic objectives.
- Ability to remain composed given aggressive timelines and high volumes of activities/deliverables.
- Ability to utilize data and insights to identify trends to drive process improvements and evolve the MADJV function.
- Ability to combine strategic thinking, strong operational execution with solid attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity.
- Excellent presentation skills. Must be able to draft and deliver compelling and informative presentations to senior leaders.
