In addition to an annual refresh of the group strategy and deep dive on strategic questions, the mandate of the strategy team for the next 2-3 years has moved towards execution on the companies’ most critical initiatives, in close partnership with the CEO, Executive team, and regional Business Units.

The role is based in Brussels, within our Global Headquarters.
Reporting into the Global Head of Strategy, you will handle the following responsibilities:
  • Lead the Annual update of the Aliaxis corporate strategy in coordination with all stakeholders;
  • Independently drive M&A due diligence, including drafting strategic rationale, synergy estimate, and value creation thesis;
  • Draft (and often present) materials to ExCom and board level audience;
  • Manage other high-priority. strategic projects together with the businesses;
  • Responsible for reviewing/updating Aliaxis corporate strategy, in coordination with all stakeholders involved, with the purpose of making it dynamic and action-oriented;
  • Prepare strategy presentations for the executive committee, global leadership team and company board, including quarterly board reporting on market and competition;
  • Run a structured M&A sourcing process, including management of due diligence, with potential to play an integral role in the execution and integration phase;
  • Initiate and drive strategic projects (e.g. growth opportunities, new business models) for the group, together with the businesses and other functions involved, from strategy development to implementation;
  • Work with divisions/businesses to develop or update specific strategies and plans that support local business and are aligned with the global strategy. End -responsible for driving this kind of initiatives, including ensuring buy-in of all stakeholders;
  • Develop and present business recommendations to leadership based on performance, trends/outlook, competitive intelligence;
  • Work with senior management to drive the optimisation of Aliaxis’ business portfolio;
  • Challenge the group and the businesses on strategy topics in a constructive way;
  • Drive a culture of agile working with fast deliverables and responsible for raising the strategic competencies in the organization
Requirements:
  • University degree in business or economics. Alternatively: engineering or natural science degree with sufficient business experience. An MBA is a strong asset.
  • Minimum 8 years of business experience, including a prior experience as project manager within a major strategy consulting firm
  • Experience with Due Diligence/mergers management
  • Strong pro-activity and drive, ability to hit the ground running
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills: effective at engaging and leading across levels, functions, businesses and geographies.Strong proficiency in written English – drafting clear and direct messages
  • Exposure to multi-cultural environments is a strong asset
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and successful experience in project management
  • Direct experience of the sectors within which Aliaxis operates would be advantageous but not essential
  • Willing to travel globally up to 30%
