HR Business Partner

As HR Business Partner you are responsible for solving organizational challenges through people-related solutions and collaborate with HR COEs and HR Services on design and execution of solutions and service delivery. Additionally, you Implement strategic initiatives and other enterprise-wide initiatives and HR programs to support Alcon associates. This includes: including compensation, performance, employee relations and engagement, culture, and talent development.

Responsibilities
  • Drive business success by coaching and advising teams on associate experience initiatives, such as Associate Experience Dashboard, Recognition programs, etc.
  • Coach business leaders and associates on all HR-related topics (e.g. change management, talent management, employee relations, career development, labour law, etc.)
  • Deliver Alcon’s core HR services and people processes (e.g. OTR, PMP), and ensures an optimal associate experience
  • Align with the Talent & Culture Partner to execute enterprise level initiatives.
  • Ensure timely execution of all people-related processes
  • Implement global, regional or local HR programs
  • Support leaders in performing people related transactions, including any local statutory requirements
  • Liaise and support as the HR Service Centre to ensure timely and accurate execution of system related processes and payroll activities
  • Build and maintain HR process expertise and implement with HR Service Center
  • Develop & execute local project when applicable
  • Accountable for driving high-quality, diverse local talent bench, through selection process, equitable compensation practices and adequate talent development
  • Utilize workforce analytics and insights to improve people and workforce management.
  • Ensure legal compliance regarding HR topics and participate in internal and external audits
Profile
  • Bachelor or master’s degree or equivalent combination of years and education of directly related experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Human Resources or related field, preferably in a commercial environment
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian employment law and ability to adapt to new circumstances quickly e.g., new COVID-19 legislation
  • Good understanding of and oversight of HR processes, payroll processes, recruitment and tax related matters
  • Strong in both Dutch and English languages (written and orally)
  • Comfortable in working with tools as Workday, Time & registration
  • Previous experience in a matrix organization
  • Flexible and mobile between Mechelen, Puurs & Bornem
  • A service-oriented team player
