Job Description

As the Human Resources Generalist for our Belgium company located in Vilvoorde, you are responsible for processing payroll for employees Belgium in cooperation with our external payroll company. You will be central point of contact for employees concerning payroll, time & attendance, personnel files and insurances for local and expatriates. You will also provide support in all functional areas of human resources to associates and local management. You will have the support of Regional HR located in Amsterdam and other DENSO company HR staff across the European region and will actively contribute to regional projects.

Your Main Tasks Are Amongst Others
  • Process the monthly payroll in Belgium with the external vendor
  • Act as central point of contact for employees concerning their employment life cycle
  • Be responsible for correct administration concerning labour time reductions, temporary unemployment, (pre) pensions, other absences (care, maternity leave etc.) by interacting proactively with the local authorities;
  • Manage the policy of absenteeism
  • Manage the recruitment and job offer process and onboarding of new hires
  • Provide assistance to managers and employees in resolving any potential employee relations issues
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment legislation
  • Create, maintain and update HR policies
  • Support line managers with the company’s Performance Management process (annual and mid-year cycle)
  • Support managers with training and development planning for their staff
  • Collaborate with local teams and parent company
  • Other relevant HR activities management may require
  • Manage incoming and outgoing expats to and from Belgium
  • Regular reporting of relevant HR kpi's and metrics to local management and regional headquarters
  • Manage General Affairs activity in the local company with the support of one specialist
  • Contribute to European projects and activities

Qualifications

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Master degree preferably Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Experience working in HR
  • Experience with managing payroll in Belgium
  • Experience managing employee relations
  • Experience within an international company is a plus
  • Experience working in Japanese culture is a major plus
Skills & Knowledge
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills and with good presentation skills
  • Able to work with numbers and analyze data
