MAGICS is now looking for an ICT Engineer to join its team. Qualifications

Key qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or computer science.
  • Excellent development skills of electronics schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: low-noise sensing system, power electronics, low-power wireless system, robot/drone motion control system, audio and video systems.
  • Deep understanding of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience with embedded programming is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial standards and certifications (e.g., EMC, CE marking) is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Knowledge base:

  • Networks: Routers & Switches; VLAN; L3 switches; Firewalls (E.G. Watchguard); VOIP (e.g. 3CX).
  • Linux: Basic CMD; Setting up of Linux servers (RedHat, Ubuntu); Linux services (DNS, HTTP, email, file and LDAP servers).
  • Virtualization: Experience with Hyper-V, Red Hat virtualization and/or oVirt; SAN, NAS, etc.; Experience with virtualization of a GPU is a plus.
  • Office 365: Cloud environment (Sharepoint, office, teams, flow, …); Azure AD;
  • Basic knowledge of GCP or AWS
  • Basic scripting and programming experience: Bash; Sysprep; Python 3.
  • Experience with IC design software (Cadence, …) is a plus

Certificates of knowledge (Any of the following or equal experiences):

  • CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching
  • CCNP – Cisco Certified Network Professional
  • Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1
  • Linux Professional Institute LPIC-2
