Description

For our main site in Ghent, we are looking for anICT helpdesk employee. In this role, you will largely function as the first point of contact for our employees regarding ICT-related questions.

Your responsibilities at the helpdesk service:

  • Answering ICT-related questions by telephone or electronically.
  • Solving tickets via the helpdesk tool.
  • Finding solutions as quickly as possible for simple or complex hardware/software problems.
  • Assessing malfunctions (repairing them yourself or calling in an external service department).
  • Preparing the necessary ICT-related matters when new employees start working (e.g. creating logins, creating telephony, installing work stations).
  • Signalling technical problems to the ICT team.
  • Depending on the need, you support the ICT team with system and network management, and application management.
  • You work closely with your ICT colleagues and report to the ICT manager.

Competences

  • PC-minded.
  • Bitten by the IT bug.
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN.
  • Good knowledge of Windows OS and Office.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory / Citrix / RDS is a plus.
  • Communicative & team player.
  • Listening and customer-oriented.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch, English and French is a must (for example: you can help/respond to an employee from our site in Wallonia with his IT question).
  • You can handle information and data with discretion.
