Industrialization Engineer

The industrialization engineer defines the production process flow, the step by step activities and associated industrial equipment’s and tooling to manufacture a product and reach the requested quality level and efficiency level.

Experimented Engineer with technical or Industrial experience, managing either a number of programmes simultaneously, or one complex program or conducts part of the testing or analysis on products in operations (including possible Integration operations at the Customers’ site).

Within a less complexity environment, can be a technical referent (strong technological support for the development of Integration & Test programs and resources) toward Technicians.
  • A significant mid & long-term impact on production unit/function overall results.
  • Identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods, tools and techniques relative to the concerned perimeter.
  • Contribute to the deployment within the production phase of new products, and to the development of new processes, standards or operational plans based upon Industrial strategy in the Integration & Test domain (Means, Integration & Testing Strategy, Test Programmes ...).
  • Convince others within the organization where strong interest exists to accept new concepts, practices, means and approaches for a better management of the production workflow.
Tasks
  • Define the production process flow from incoming to outgoing for both internal and external operations if necessary,
  • Define with the methods, with the quality department and with the production department each step of production, the necessary industrial equipment’s, tools and tooling,
  • Define the layout for equipment’s,
  • Lead the equipment’s installation until the full quality / cost / delay level is met and ensure a hand over to the production department.
  • Ensure that the best practices of Lean Manufacturing are applied,
  • Support the production for trouble shooting, quality issues solving and efficiency improvements,
  • Stay in a continuous improvement mind-set, define and drives improvement plans,
  • Is involved in the application of engineering changes
Profile
  • The candidate shall have a first background mechanical / Electro-mechanical / industry (Manufacturing / Assembling)
  • Mecatronic / PLC knowledge
  • Curious, creative,
  • A background in Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 principles is a strong asset
  • The candidate shall show good communication skills. Fluency in Dutch or French and English are mandatory.
  • Structured, rigorous, quick-thinking and responsive are other key strengths of the manufacturing planner we are looking for.
