Intern, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions, Europe All About Mastercard Cyber & Intelligence SolutionsCyber & Intelligence Solutions is responsible for safeguarding trust in payments, both now and in future. We ensure that transactions and interactions are safe, simple and smart. By cyber we mean cyberspace in its truest sense – the totality of the digital world we operate in, both online and offline. Intelligence refers to the use of smart technology and deployment of services - Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and the sophisticated interpretation of data - to better protect and serve customers. C&I helps Mastercard develop solutions in fields beyond payments as our remit expands from transactions to interactions.
Make an Impact
As an intern on the Cyber & Intelligence Solutions (CIS) – Product Management Team, you will collaborate with awesome colleagues to assist in developing and managing C&I related products and services in partnership with both internal and external but also private and public stakeholders, and to help understand their needs and the technology required to deliver applicable solutions. While working in close-knit teams, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders and be given real responsibility to make an impact for our clients from day one. In this setting, you will learn quickly and gain exposure to diverse business issues, gaining the experience required to lead key client engagements.
As an insight, the intern:
- Supports the analysis of internal and external stakeholder needs and issues
- Conducts market research to inform profitability targets for a specific product
- Assists in creating reports on market insights and industry trends
- Assists in monitoring project plan statuses
- Assists in the creation of best practice documents for internal and external stakeholders
- Drafts materials such as training decks or portions of RFPs
- Assists or supports tasks in the product development life cycle
- Researches and aggregates information on new technologies and applications in the payments industry
- Helps with specific tasks in the prototyping process
- Assists in monitoring progress against key milestones in the development and implementation process
- Supports relationships with external vendors Other Areas (Applicable to some jobs)
- Supports product launches and implementations as needed
- Drafts materials such as training decks to support new product implementation
- Grows their career by receiving hands-on mentorship from an experienced team member

All About You
Basic conditions (applicable to all interns)
- Be a EU citizen
- Attend a recognized Belgium-based university or high school (“Haute Ecole”)
- Be a full-time student
- Be a bachelor’s degree (“Haute Ecole”) or a master’s degree (university) student with outstanding record of academic achievement
- Be available for at least two months (three months preferably)
- Be able to provide an internship agreement that is produced by the attended university or “Haute Ecole”
Qualifications
- Good command of English, any other language is a plus
- Be a marketing student (or any other relevant area such as business engineering with a focus on marketing, communication, etc.)
- Have proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities (e.g., student worker experiences, society, etc.)
- Show interest and passion in the payment and fintech industry as well as in marketing
- Be eager and able to learn fast and adapt to a rapidly growing and changing environment
- Strong strategic and conceptual aptitude
- Have excellent written and verbal communication as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good command of MS Office tools
