You are accountable for developing and delivering employee communication on a variety of business, people and organizational topics, through a wide range of media and channels. The global Barco community is your prime target audience, connecting is your number one objective, and your creativity and communication savviness are your keys to success.

You partner with internal clients worldwide to ensure the planning, development, and execution of their communication needs. You build & foster an open and transparent communication culture that stimulates powerful collaboration globally, in full support of business priorities and objectives, to connect and create engagement with the company’s strategy and cultures.

Your Responsibilities
  • Successfully grasp the internal communication needs within Barco and translate this in a well organized and timely, and effective communication delivery on a global scale;
  • Deliver regular communications for all staff through a range of channels, ensuring ease of access to communications, clarity and consistency of messages. Current media in place are: personnel magazine, newsletters, e-bulletins, intranet, briefing material, email communication, town hall meetings;
  • Organize and manage personnel events in Belgium;
  • Support management in their employee communication, striving for the best solution for your internal clients;
  • Network genuinely with the Barco Community to get things done;
  • Team up with your virtual global communication network to get this done effectively and to capitalize on global best practices;

Your Profile
  • Master degree, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in (internal) communication.
  • Copywriting experience is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills in speaking and writing, both in Dutch and English.
  • Communication is your passion and quality your motto.
  • Relationship builder with active listening skills.
  • Highly creative mindset with experience in creating and implementing communications strategies, constantly looking for optimizing communications.
  • Good project management skills and being able to prioritize workload in order to handle multiple assignments concurrently while meeting challenging deadlines.
  • Hands-on attitude, self-driven, proactive and capable of understanding how various initiatives fit together.
  • Highly familiar with Office 365 platform; affinity with design programs and video-editing is a plus
