Investigation Coordinator CAR-T Cryopreservation

As an Investigation Coordinator Cryopreservation CAR-T you will become part of Johnson & Johnson’s CAR-T Operations team in Beerse. CAR-T is an innovative therapy aimed at blood cancer, which uses the power of the patient’s own immune system. T-Cells of the patient are genetically modified to eliminate cancerous cells. This advanced technology offers hope to patients that do not sufficiently respond to other therapies.

It is with great passion that we work to expand our capacity for CAR-T treatments in Europe, both on our existing site in Beerse as well as in Ghent, where we are building a new and state-of-the-art production site.

We are looking for extraordinary talents, who are eager to contribute to this new and hope-giving journey. As an Investigation Coordinator you are responsible to support the Beerse cCPC (central Cryopreservation Center) team by addressing lab related deviations and change controls. Together with your colleagues you are continuously improving the quality level within the Beerse cCPC.

Your tasks and responsibilities within this department / team are the following:

  • Supporting the daily operations within the Beerse cCPC. As such, you will closely work together with managers, operators, warehouse and the QA (quality assurance) department
  • Leading complex investigations and writing a final investigation report based on a thorough root cause analysis. You define and implement corrective actions and follow up on their effectiveness, thereby assuring a timely execution and completion. If it is a cross-departmental investigation, you will lead the multi-disciplinary team. You represent the Beerse cCPC in cross-departmental investigations
  • Supporting, initiating and implementing improvement projects with regards to safety, quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Foresee training and/or awareness sessions within the Beerse cCPC
  • Supporting inspections by Health Authorities, a.o. by preparing questions which require your subject matter expertise
  • Monitor and streamline the quality level within the Beerse cCPC
  • Contribute to the daily operational TIER meetings. Occasionally lead these meetings as well
  • Exceptionally act as back-up to execute the following operational activities: receipt of fresh apheresis material, administrative import, and batch verification during the cryopreservation runs

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • You have a master’s degree, preferably with a background in biotechnology
  • You have >1 year – and ideally >3 years – of practical working experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • You have proven experience with working in a lab or production environment
  • You have a solid knowledge of lab processes and systems
  • You have a quality mindset, and are knowledgeable with regards to GMP/GTP. Having experience with inspections by Health Authorities is a plus
  • You have a structured approach and master techniques to structurally solve issues
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing
