What’s the scope?

As Jr Developer you will be part of the product creation team at Kontoor. You will be supporting the denim product development team with fabric and finishes work such as following up developments with supplier; creating the follow up files and documenting all product related information, in alignment with brand seasonal direction, the business needs, regional sourcing capabilities and quality standards.

Utilize your advanced communication skills, accuracy in data management, and ability to manage complexity, to identify and propose the best solutions to deliver valuable work in a timely manner. Interact constantly with team members in product development and merchandising to deliver the appropriate execution for the target consumer audience. Own the evolution of product from concept to salesman samples. Be the supportive role in the product creation team to turn product concepts into reality and accelerate business growth and relevance. Strive to create apparel that meets relevant trends and leverages the brand DNA.

As our Junior Developeryou will;

• Fabric developments: follow up and order fabric hangers to mills/collecting passports from mills/manage and keep the Smartsheet up to date/assign fabric codes /KPI reporting
• Finish developments: follow up vendors are updating Smartsheet with required information / follow up finish development shipments /assign finish codes/ keep Smartsheet up to date / KPI reporting
• Finish developments: assist the fabric/finish developer during finish review meetings / follow up packages to be received and prepare for internal review meetings / preparation labstd cards
• Request S4 RMN codes to MDM team and maintain in Smartsheet
• Lab dips: brief and follow lab dip developments with mills/ review with designer / assign colour codes / keep Smartsheet up to date
• Prepare/Send out packages to mills and vendors
• PPR list set up

Skills for Success:

• Must have a track record in assisting in the product development of designated category, implementing efficient procedures to meet calendar and development goals.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Textile (Apparel), Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient PC skills (MS package, Adobe Illustrator) Excellent attention to details. Aptitude for systems and systematic work Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Strong interactive skills
• Good written and verbal communication in English
• MS office with a good excel knowledge – Smartsheet knowledge would be a plus – but not a must
• Accurate data management
• Team player
• Eager to learn
