Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Legal Counselfor a permanent position based in Flemish Brabant.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the energy sector.

As Legal Counselyou will be responsible for:

• You will be joining legal team focusing on general corporate, commercial and compliance matters;
• You will be responsible for negotiating and managing a diverse range of business contracts relating to on- and offshore wind energy and/or hydrogen. You will advise on legal risk and liabilities associated with such contracts and how to manage these;
• You will liaise with your colleagues of the legal, regulatory and business teams to ensure and coordinate appropriate support;
• You will provide general legal support to project companies and other group entities;
• You will assist in preparing relevant internal documents and presentations for the management and/or board;
• You will work together with our lead counsel investments & financing in building and maintaining a sound governance and compliance framework as regards among others corporate housekeeping and data protection;
• You will monitor corporate law and corporate governance rules and regulations. You will assist in the creation of legal templates and processes which can be rolled out on a group-wide basis;
• You will be a member of a dynamic legal team and will report to our lead counsel investments & financing.

The required profile for the Legal Counselposition:

• You have a master’s degree in law;
• You have preferably 3-4 years of relevant professional experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer with a reputable firm and/or a legal department of an international company;
• You are punctual and precise while giving advice and while administering your cases and contracts;
• You have experience/interest in contract management, commercial contracts and business law in general;
• You have the ability to manage several things at the same time without losing oversight;
• You have good diplomatic and social skills and enjoy building relationships with stakeholders;
• You are a team player and possess a high level of integrity;
• You have an analytical mindset and can communicate advice and ideas, with respect for the business reality, to colleagues with a different educational background;
• You have good social skills and can work efficiently in a team;
• You are flexible and willing to travel on an occasional basis;
• You are fluent in Dutch or French, and you are capable of working and drafting in English.
