Purpose Of The Position
Deliver the relevant market intelligence (consumer, customer & competitor insights, and sensory science) tools and capabilities to provide the business with the appropriate strategic intelligence to affirm a differentiated product leadership positioning in the defined segments (snacks, proteins, foodservice), categories (seasonings, coatings, sauces & dressings) and geographies (existing and potential new markets in fulfilling the purpose driven strategy
Lead the Market intelligence & Sensory team to deliver defined market research studies generating primary consumer insight data and using secondary market data to support the European Marketing team activities & GF Europe customers.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Champions the integration of multiple data sources and application of analytical tools to deliver quantifiably superior insights products and solutions, to uncover, define and scope opportunities in the marketplace.
- Design’s consumer/customer / competitor research independently or identifies opportunities to partner and co-create new solutions that address gaps in research.
- Identify, appoint, and drive external agencies to ensure best value is extracted .
- Anticipate and analyse trends and drivers and timely advise the business on these for future scenario planning.
- Leverages insights from primary and secondary data to develop and deliver customer presentations that enable strategic customer conversations and collaborations .
- Masters’ competitive intelligence to identify gaps and points of differentiation for the business .
- Leverage’s insights to guide strategy development, predictive industry trend forecasts and segment positioning assessments.
- Shares insights with cross functional teams to help build differentiated and trend driven messaging and campaign assets.
- Explores innovative analytical and data management tools and pioneers the incorporation of these to continiously grow and develop the market intelligence capability and maintain a differentiated advantage over competition in this regard.
- Lead and manage the Market intelligence and Sensory team in an inspiring talent nurturing manner according to the Griffith Valued Behaviours
- Active member of the Marketing leadership team contributing to the credibility and expertise of the team Proactively and visibly supports the Health and Safety standards, rules, and regulations of the organization.
- Academic Degree in Marketing, Business Administration and/or Economic Science with proven competency in application of Statistics, Applied mathematics and or computer science to master Big data.
- At least 5 years in Food or Food Ingredients industry; preferable experience in B2B markets, or in a similar role.
- Fluent in written and spoken Business English required, other EU languages preferred
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Expert Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, CRM, ERP system
- Firsthand knowledge of the food industry, or market intelligence agencies serving these.
- Proactive mindset can work independently and as a part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Driving license and ability to travel regularly.
