The Renewable energy sector of John Cockerill is one of the world leaders in the field with solutions addressing the Energy transition.
This now includes solar concentration power plants, microgrids with energy management systems and electric batteries, and hydrogen production and distribution solutions.
Context of need
John Cockerill Hydrogen, the Division responsible for Hydrogen solutions is the world leader in water electrolysis. With the largest number of large scale references, we are rapidly expanding our business worldwide to fulfill the ambitious goals of the many countries wanting to reach a carbon neutral economy. This involves large investments in research and development, new manufacturing facilities and partnerships with key actors.
In order to sustain its leadership position in this fast moving market, John Cockerill Hydrogen is recruiting an Origination Manager (M / F) to support its growth.

Main duties

  • Support the origination process from start to finish including contract negotiations leading to supply frame agreements, partnership/JV agreements or joint development agreements. Thereafter ensure proper transfer of projects to the Sales team
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, partners and developers such as industries, municipals, project developers or energy companies
  • Collaborate internally to identify and develop new market opportunities and craft value propositions to serve target market and/or customers
  • Propose and develop new partnerships, including on technology, manufacturing and new geographic areas
  • Participate to the market and competitive analysis as requested

Profile

Master’s degree in business or engineering
  • Experience: 5+ years, preferably in renewable energy roles
  • Strong leadership & strategic skills; ability to balance & prioritize competing interests.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business relationships quickly, to negotiate and to close business opportunities
  • Ability to write and negotiate partnership agreements and other contractual documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to cultivate business and personal relationships with customers
  • Ability to interact professionally and collegially with cross-functional internal teams
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with a desire to learn and win
  • Ability to travel significantly (40+%) to visit customers, attend conferences, or other travel to support business needs
  • A strong knowledge of power markets is a plus
  • Languages : English, French, German ; Dutch and Spanish are a plus
