Coordinate the development of our sustainability policies

You will be based in Brussels in a modern office with most important stakeholders, such as the European Parliament, Council of Ministers and EU Commission located in the same city. You report to the VP of Environmental and European Affairs, who is also located in Brussels.
As Policy Officer you are responsible for the coordination of policy and handling of new policy and legislation in the area of energy efficiency, energy labelling and climate applicable to the Major Appliances industry in Europe. You work in coordination with Electrolux Global functions and with operational departments. The objective is to safeguard company interests in the development of EU legislation and to assist in the development of operational activities to fulfil future requirements.
Your main tasks:
Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EU and National policy and legislation for legislation for energy efficiency, energy labelling and climate that apply to household appliances
Support product lines, R&D, sales and marketing organization in above topics
Participate in dedicated working groups of the EU industry association of appliance manufacturers
Coordination of colleagues that participate to National industry associations
Monitor the evolution of EU and National legislation and coordinate the development of company position papers
Meet with political decision makers
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in EU affairs or other relevant working experience
Master’s degree in political or Natural Science or another relevant field
Ability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
Ability to manage a large contact network both internally as externally
Experience to draft position papers, revise, and analyse documents.
